The Photography Experiment

This is a Sunday morning experiment to capture and control a still photo like the Lytro [ http://www.lytro.com/ ] camera. This is a quick 2 hour project using my old Nikon D-SLR and coffee. The result is below, do give it a minute or two to load as it is a 1.5 mb file. Once loaded click on the photo at different points to have it focus at the desired depth.

Here are a few snaps of the layout that I used for taking the snap.

So I guess thats it..... :)

  2. Vivek here are the steps:
    > Photo's shot @ 90mm , f/5.3 , 1/2sec with varying focus as needed
    > Snaps imported to comp and then rest of the processing using Macromedia Flash
    > Click points were defined so that it triggers the area below the area clicked.
    > This is like a movie shot when you have two actors one closer to the camera and the other away and the camera changes focus from one to the other. Imagine this as a sequence.
    > A similar sequence is created and the click points are coded to take us to any point as desired.

Hope I cleared your query.. :)
